Contrary to popular belief, death is the opposite of heartbreak. When someone you love dies, you cry because you know they’re never coming back, but you can get over it because you know they’re in a happier place. When someone you love breaks your heart, it’s the little piece of hope that they’ll come back to you that kills you. And you cry even harder because they’re still somehow happy, even without you.
